I’m Lynn — the founder of Dear Eastern Lynn.

My journey with culture and connection began early. In middle school, I spent a short but unforgettable time living with a host family in the United States. Years later, I returned and spent two and a half years living in Los Angeles, where I earned my master’s degree from the University of Southern California (USC). These chapters remain some of the most vibrant, unforgettable moments of my life.

During those years, I met incredible classmates, friends, and partners from all over the world — people who became like family. I also formed deep bonds with many overseas Asian and Chinese friends, who, like me, were navigating life in a foreign land. Some longed for a deeper cultural connection and a sense of belonging. Others were simply fascinated by the richness of Chinese culture and wanted to experience it for themselves.

I realized that around the world, there are so many people — no matter where they come from — who share the same curiosity, admiration, and love for Chinese heritage.

So, I decided to start with something simple — a qipao.
